The FDA recommends you toss your mascara after 3 months. We’ve all been a culprit of keeping a mascara around WAY too long. And, we all know it’s easy for bacteria to accumulate and the mascara to get clumpy and gross. Then comes the fiasco of trying to remember to pick one up at the store. On average, our “little” mascara lasts a month with daily use. Those who don’t use it daily can see it lasting longer. However, we never recommend keeping any open mascara for more than a couple months – give yourself a fresh, sanitary one! Your eyes will thank you.
